At Rocking 45 our focus is teaching the beginner rider basic skills and techniques, so that they may have a strong foundation to build more advanced riding skills on. We focus mainly on Western Riding techniques, although we also have the resources to assist our aspiring English riders. We believe that knowledge is the most important part of owning and riding horses.
Every rider will begin riding in our arena. For the young or timid riders, we may also take baby steps towards independent riding by starting out on a lunge line or lead line, or in our round pen. Our goal is to make sure that you are as comfortable as possible, and build your confidence in the saddle. We aim to make every ride a positive experience. Once you ave developed the basic riding skills, we also offer accompanied trail rides during lesson times. When we take you out of the arena, our aim is to expose you to the skills to handle your horse in unique situations.
We also travel to various events in the Yuma area, including barrel racing, cattle sorting, and the monthly schooling shows. We would love to have you along, so that you can experience the different facets of the equestrian world.
Our goal is to work with you to personalize and gear lessons towards your interests. We encourage that you ask as many questions as possible, as well as let us know what your individual goals are.
